What to know if you're registered for in-person or virtual attendance at the fifth annual Policy Summit

We hope you're looking forward to ASGCT's fifth annual Policy Summit! Below you'll find important information to help you prepare.

In-person attendees will join us at the Renaissance Washington DC Downtown hotel (999 9th Street NW, Washington, DC 20001). The event will start with breakfast at 8 a.m. ET on Monday, Sept. 18, and the program will start promptly at 9 a.m. ET in the River Birch Ballroom.

Please note: All attendees will have live access to our virtual platform throughout the meeting and for 30 days following its conclusion. See the instructions on how to use the platform below.

Registration

Registration will open at 8 a.m. ET on Monday, Sept. 18, in the River Birch Ballroom Foyer.

Full registration hours are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Sept. 18 and 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Sept. 19.

Session Location

All sessions take place in the River Birch Ballroom on the Meeting Room Level of the Renaissance Hotel.

Networking

This year, we've organized the most interactive Policy Summit yet! You'll have the chance to meet attendees at the Networking Reception, chat virtually, and foster discussion during breaks.

Virtually

You'll be able to see the full attendee list before the event begins. Attendees can send connection requests to each other in the virtual platform. If the request is accepted, you can network message right in the app. See the virtual networking user guide here.

In-Person

Meet fellow attendees over breakfast, lunch, and extended coffee breaks in the River Birch Ballroom Foyer.

Networking Reception

Mingle in Meeting Rooms 8/9 on Monday, Sept. 18, 5 – 6:30 p.m., with opening remarks from Congressman Scott Peters (CA-50) and Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02). Light hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be provided.

Parking

The Renaissance Washington DC Downtown hotel has valet parking available, starting at $39 for up to 8 hours.

Those who prefer to self-park may use the Colonial Parking Garage (connected to the hotel) or the nearby PMI Parking, City Center Garage, or 601 K Street NW Parking.

Please note: The hotel's 9th Street entrance is undergoing a brief refresh; therefore, the main entrance of the hotel will be on K Street.

Meals and Coffee Breaks

Join us for meals with your peers in the River Birch Ballroom Foyer (included with in-person registration).

Day 1 (Sept. 18)

Breakfast: 8 – 9 a.m.

Coffee Breaks:

  • 10:15 – 10:45 a.m.
  • 2:30 – 3 p.m.

Lunch: 12:15 – 1:15 p.m.

Day 2 (Sept. 19)

Breakfast: 8 – 9 a.m.

Coffee Break: 10:45 – 11 a.m.
