Science Communication Award


About the Award

This award will recognize scientists who do an outstanding job of communicating their work in gene and cell therapy, particularly those who speak to a broader audience of scientists and non-scientists. 

Award Categories

Nominate yourself or another ASGCT member for the award in one of two categories:

  • Traditional media channels: materials in print
  • Non-traditional media channels: teaching children in a creative way, or using social media platforms like Twitter, LinkedIn, or YouTube to cover a meeting

Nomination Criteria

To be selected for the award, nominees must be:

  • Nominated by an ASGCT member in good standing (self-nominations are accepted)

  • Involved in scientific communication to a broad audience

  • Willing and available to share their work in webinar form

The recipient(s) will receive an honorarium of $2,500 and complimentary registration to the 26th Annual Meeting.

How to Apply

Nominations open through Jan. 17, 2023. 

Your nomination letter should be no longer than 500 words.
