About the Role

Reports to: Senior Manager, Digital Education and Instructional Design

Location: Hybrid in Waukesha, WI or Chicago area

ASGCT is seeking a skilled Producer, Digital Education to lead the technical production and execution of our virtual, hybrid, and in-person educational programs. This role will manage large-scale virtual conferences, livestreaming of Annual Meeting and smaller hybrid events, and the development and ongoing management of ASGCT’s event app. The Producer will serve as the primary liaison with audiovisual vendors, oversee video capture and editing, and support the delivery of webinars and other digital learning initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in event production with the ability to ensure seamless, high-quality digital education experience for our global audience.

ASGCT is headquartered in suburban Milwaukee. Milwaukee-area candidates are strongly preferred, but Chicago-area candidates will be considered with consistent travel schedule to Milwaukee.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage production and execution of virtual conferences and livestreamed sessions.
  • Serve as primary liaison with AV vendor for the Annual Meeting and other hybrid events.
  • Oversee build, management, and maintenance of the organization’s event app.
  • Direct video capture, editing, and post-production for in-person recordings, hybrid events, virtual conferences, and webinars.
  • Support webinar production, including platform setup, live session management, and post-event processing.
  • Ensure consistent technical quality across all digital education products and troubleshoot production issues as needed.
  • Maintain production timelines, workflows, and communication with cross-departmental stakeholders.
  • Provide excellent customer service to members, speakers, and learners, ensuring professionalism and responsiveness throughout the production process.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with vendors, staff colleagues, volunteer leaders, and external stakeholders to align expectations and deliver seamless experiences.
  • Document and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production workflows to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Stay current on digital production best practices, tools, and emerging technologies to enhance member learning experiences.
  • Other duties as assigned.

​Required Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated expertise with digital event platforms, AV equipment, and video editing software.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for staff, volunteers, vendors, and leadership.
  • Proven ability to provide outstanding customer service in a professional setting.
  • Experience producing hybrid learning environments with both in-person and virtual audiences.
  • Familiarity with continuing medical education (CME/CE) requirements and best practices in professional education.
  • Advanced skills in video editing software and audio editing tools.
  • Experience with event apps, learning management systems (LMS), and webinar platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to train and support staff, volunteers, or speakers in digital platforms and production processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure in a live event setting.
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices for digital education (e.g., captioning, screen reader compatibility).
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Digital Event Strategist (DES) certificate preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Three or more years of related professional experience.
  • Experience with non-profits, associations, or academic institutions strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to two (2) weeks per year.
