Committees are among the most important facets of Society life and serving on a committee is one of the most direct ways you can make an impact within ASGCT.

Applications are reviewed by President-Elect/Leadership in February, nominees are notified and asked to accept/decline in March and in May the newly accepted committee members join the committees during the Annual Meeting.

Each spring, every ASGCT Member and Transitional Member is able to vote in elections for the board of directors. Elections provide a valuable opportunity to select leaders who can effectively represent both the Society and the scientific community.

All submissions undergo a rigorous approval process before publication. Our members are able play a key role in this process by assuring articles meet Molecular Therapies high standards.

Submit Scientific Abstracts for the Annual Meeting or Other Conferences
ASGCT collects abstracts for our Annual Meetings and hybrid events, this is an invaluable opportunity to share targeted CGT research.
ASGCT members, Transitional Members and Associate Members who are first and presenting authors can get a discounted registration rate.
Volunteer to Review Annual Meeting Abstracts
Every year, more than 1,000 abstracts and posters are featured at ASGCT’s Annual Meeting.
Our staff and members review the thousands of submissions to select which abstracts to showcase. There is a call for member volunteers every September to review abstracts. Each volunteer can plan on about 10 hours of work in February and March reviewing.
Reviewers are the first asked to also participate as co-chairs to oral presentations. If you would like to co-chair oral sessions email abstracts@asgct.org today!
Suggest Annual Meeting Sessions
As a member of ASGCT you have the opportunity to submit Session proposals for the Annual Meeting. These windows are open for a limited time every fall, so if you have a session you’d like to suggest, watch for those emails!
Nominate Yourself or Others for Awards
ASGCT will award a $100,000 Career Development Award in six broad topics and up to two $100,000 awards to underrepresented populations Fellowship in Gene and Cell Therapy as well as various awards for the Annual Meeting and Policy Fellowship.
- Honorific Award nominations close September 30.
