This awards season, ASGCT will give out more than $1 million in funded awards to 12 members. If you're a researcher growing your career, we invite you to take advantage of these opportunities by August 1!

All ASGCT members are eligible for our annual awards—and this year, the Society will give out more than $1 million to 12 members. See below for opportunities in career development and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Apply between now and August 1!

Career Development Awards

ASGCT will award $100,000 each to six members working toward independence in their careers to fund their transformative pilot studies across six selected topics.

This year, we've also partnered with the Children's Tumor Foundation, which will support three additional Career Development Awards for research that may impact neurofibromatosis and schwannomatosis.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Awards

Since June 2020, the DEI awards have supported ASGCT's commitment to promoting justice and equity in gene and cell therapy research. These three awards totaling $250,000 support underrepresented populations in gene and cell therapy and research on conditions disproportionately impacting minority populations.

Underrepresented Minority Fellowship Award in Gene and Cell Therapy for Oncology

This $100,000 award will support one ASGCT member from an underrepresented minority population in a postdoctoral or early-stage investigator fellowship in gene or cell therapy-related research for an oncology indication for one year.

Underrepresented Population Fellowship Award in Gene and Cell Therapy for Any Indication

This  $100,000  award will support one ASGCT member from an underrepresented group in the scientific workforce through a  postdoctoral  or early-stage investigator  fellowship  in  any  gene or cell  therapy-related research  for  one year.

Award for Research on Conditions Disproportionately Affecting Minorities

This  $50,000  award will  support one  ASGCT member in  gene or cell  therapy-related research  for  conditions disproportionately affecting minorities  for one year.
