From early bird pricing to awards, here’s what you can do to get complimentary or discounted registration.
The ASGCT Annual Meeting is the premier event for professionals in gene and cell therapy. More than 6,000 scientists will gather in Los Angeles, Calif., May 16–20. It’s your chance to hear about the latest breakthroughs from the field’s foremost experts and share your own research.
One of the most common questions ASGCT receives is how to save money on Annual Meeting registration, and we completely understand. The Society offers a number of opportunities for attendees to make the most of their Annual Meeting. Here are five ways to get complimentary or discounted Annual Meeting registration.
1 - Member Pricing
Becoming an ASGCT member brings many perks, and reduced-rate Annual Meeting registration is one of them. In fact, your discount can be greater than the membership fee! Plus, you’ll get a free online subscription to the Molecular Therapy family of journals, publication discounts, on-demand ASGCT event access, and more.
2 - Early Bird Pricing
Register by Feb. 28 to receive a $100 discount for your registration, no matter your membership status. If you miss the Feb. 28 deadline, Advanced registration between March 1–May 12 can also help you save.
3 - Abstract Submission Awards
If you’d like a chance for complimentary access and showcasing your work to fellow professionals, submit an abstract by Feb. 3. Associate Members who are the first and presenting authors on an abstract receive free Annual Meeting registration.
Meritorious Abstract Travel Awards will provide approximately 150 associate members with additional travel reimbursement, as will the Underrepresented Population Travel Awards. Learn more here.
Unsure what member-volunteer reviewers look for? Read insights by past reviewers Phil Tai, PhD, and Paloma Giangrande, PhD, on our blog.
4 - Five-Minute Thesis Challenge
Upload a five-minute video about your research by Feb. 10 for a chance to present at the Annual Meeting, a registration waiver, and travel reimbursement. Learn how to make the best “elevator pitch” for your research for this contest (and your future professional journey) from our learning session available for members and event registrants here.
5 - Science Communication Award
Are you someone who effectively shares their work with a broad audience in print or on social media? Nominate yourself for our inaugural Science Communication Award by Jan. 17! Recipients will receive complimentary Annual Meeting registration and an honorarium. If you know someone else who fits this description, nominate them too.
We hope to see you at the Annual Meeting this year!
