Apply by August 1 for a Career Development Award

ASGCT Staff - June 01, 2020

ASGCT will award six $50,000 Career Development Awards to members to support their pilot studies in gene and cell therapy.

The window to apply for a Career Development Award, which supports ASGCT members’ independent transformative pilot studies in gene and cell therapy, is now open through August 1.

Any ASGCT member type in good standing, and those with membership applications pending, may apply for the $50,000 award. ASGCT will award grants in six different categories for a total of $300,000. These grants are meant to support studies by students and trainees that would be challenging to fund with normal funding mechanisms. ASGCT is particularly interested in helping applicants generate their own independent preliminary data to use in larger proposals (NIH K awards, first-submission R-level funding, etc.) to gain independence.

For more information on award eligibility, the application process, and the documents required to apply, please visit this section of the ASGCT website.
