The American Society of Gene and Cell Therapy (ASGCT) is seeking an outgoing and highly organized Development Coordinator to join our team. In this role, the Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting and advancing the Society’s development and fundraising efforts. This role is responsible for coordinating year-round campaign logistics, payment collection, executing communication strategies, prospecting efforts, and relationship cultivation with stakeholders. This position will report to the Director of Development to successfully create and execute campaigns aligning with ASGCT’s strategic plan.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate year-round campaign logistics by preparing and submitting sponsorships and exhibits for payment processing, ensuring smooth execution of logistics, and maintaining organized files and databases to track all development activities.
  • Draft and distribute monthly email blasts to supporters to ensure timely and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Assist the Director of Development on grant submissions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and deadlines.
  • Support the team in prospecting for each campaign by conducting research to identify potential supporters, collaborating on the development of targeted outreach strategies, and maintaining comprehensive prospect databases.
  • Assist the Meetings and Events team with logistical considerations that may impact or inform sponsorship, exhibits, and advertising.
  • Answer supporter calls and emails with an excellent customer service attitude.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize to meet multi-faceted and sometimes rapid deadlines.
  • Acute attention to detail and a high level of accuracy on outputs.
  • Able to work successfully in a team environment.
  • Ability to build relationships with donors and attendees at Society events.
  • One to three years of relevant work experience preferred, ideally including fundraising or sales, grant administration, and familiarity with nonprofit organizations.
  • Experience with non-profits, associations, or academic institutions strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 2 weeks per year.

Salary

The annual salary for this role begins at $45,000.
