Presentation Information

Guidelines and presentation information for oral and poster presenters.

Oral Abstract Presentations

Oral abstract presentations are formal, in-person PowerPoint presentations. They are 10 minutes in length and followed by a 5-minute Q&A. Presenters are required to disclose any potential conflicts at the beginning of their presentation.

Abstracts selected for oral presentations will not additionally receive a poster presentation. If you do not want to present your abstract orally, please select “poster presentation only” during your submission.

To aid in our co-chairs' introductions of presenters, ASGCT now collects pronunciations and pronouns for oral presenters during the submission process.

Poster Abstract Presentations

Accepted abstracts not selected for an oral presentation will be given a poster presentation. All poster presentations will have a formal author reception during which presenting authors may present their posters to attendees. Posters will only be hung for one day unless otherwise noted by the specific event.

Poster presenters are responsible for creating, printing, transporting, hanging, and removing their posters.

Poster printers we recommend are:

ASGCT also offers the option to upload an ePoster for our virtual attendees to view. ePosters can be uploaded as a PDF of the printed poster or as an MP4 with a voiceover explaining the poster details. MP4 files should be under 5 minutes in length. Attendees can email presenters via the ePoster site with any questions. It is highly encouraged that all poster presenters upload an ePoster.

ASGCT recommends that posters be 3ft (91cm or 36in) tall by 6ft (182cm or 72in) wide to fit on our 4x8 poster boards. Posters may be smaller than this size, but we advise against larger dimensions or orientations. ASGCT has no requirements regarding layout, colors, or what can be included in the poster. Additional author changes may be reflected on the poster even if they are not reflected in the final abstract.

Templates and Materials

ASGCT does not require specific poster material or printing style. Many presenters use photo glossy paper, and other choices include a poly matte or premium satin finish.

You do not need to bring any hanging materials. ASGCT will provide push pins for hanging all posters.
