Meet Kaye Spratt, PhD: ASGCT Volunteer Rockstar

June 30, 2023

In the June 2023 installment of our series highlighting ASGCT member volunteers, meet Kaye Spratt, PhD, chair of the Society's Bio-Industry Committee.

ASGCT is a volunteer-led organization, and it could not effectively pursue its mission and strategic vision without the commitment of its volunteers. The Society does so through 32 standing, scientific, and board committees supported by more than 400 member volunteers.  We recognize our committee leaders for their time, commitment, and expertise, and appreciate their willingness to help ASGCT advance the field of gene and cell therapy in a unique and meaningful way.

Kaye Spratt, PhD, is Senior Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Quality for Rejuvenate Bio Inc and has more than 25 years of experience in combining strategic vision and cross-functional leadership in gene therapy. Her role and goals are to facilitate the progression and clinical translation of safe and efficacious gene therapy products to human clinical trials. Prior to joining Rejuvenate, Dr. Spratt held various executive and leadership positions with increasing responsibilities at BridgeBio Pharma, Abeona Therapeutics, and Sangamo Therapeutics.

Dr. Spratt is a member of the scientific advisory board at Siren Biotechnology and holds a PhD (Microbiology) from Meharry Medical College, a postdoctoral fellowship (Molecular Biology) from University of California Irvine, and a BS degree (Biology) from Langston University.

Dr. Spratt leads the Bio-Industry Committee to educate members on biotechnology industry and market trends affecting the gene therapy landscape, and provide a networking resource for bioindustry. The committee also recommends programming for the Annual Meeting. Dr. Spratt has also been an active participant and contributor to the Regulatory Affairs, Global Outreach, and DEI committees, and to regulatory-focused events like the Policy Summit and FDA Liaison Meeting

ASGCT thanks Dr. Spratt for her service on ASGCT’s committees. Our members serve as subject matter experts for Society-led projects, including Annual Meeting programming, through both our standing committees and scientific committees and we could not do the work we do without them.
